FRANKLIN COUNTY – A 64-year-old man died after the car he was driving ran off the road and overturned Monday morning in Franklin County.

According to Sheriff Kyle Bacon, deputies and firefighters from Christopher and Coello responded to the crash scene on Illinois 184 south of Yellowbanks Road just before 7 a.m. They found the wreckage and the man dead. He was the only occupant. His name has not been released. A dog in the vehicle appeared to be uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation.
