JOHNSTON CITY – A house fire Thursday morning in Johnston City sent one person to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

According to the Fire Department Incidents Facebook page, the fire broke out around 10:40 a.m. on East 7th Street.

The Johnston City Fire Department says the home was fully involved when firefighters arrived. Crews from Williamson County Fire and Herrin Fire also responded to the scene. The home was completely destroyed.

Neighbors reported hearing an explosion followed by the fire.

The fire is under investigation.
