MARION – On Tuesday, the Thrillville Thrillbillies announced the first-ever Thrillville Tighty Bowl: an exhibition game where the food, music and thrills are bigger than baseball.
According to the Thrillbillies’ Field Manager Ralph Santana, the rules will be taking the night off during the Inaugural Thrillville Tighty Bowl. “It’s a chance for us to throw a big party and put on what we know will be an amazing show,” Santana said.
This year’s Tighty Bowl opponent will be the Jackson Rockabillys on Wednesday, July 19th at the Stadium in Thrillville. According to Owner Rodney Cabaness, this won’t be the first time the two teams have faced off where nothing, but a good time was on the line. “Jackson hosted us at the Battle of Billies” in front of a huge crowd,” Cabaness said. “Our team is hard at work planning an unforgettable night. We will not be outdone for fun.”
The on-field voice of the Thrillbillies Dave McKenzie is excited to bring the fans in on the act. McKenzie said, “We have loads of opportunities for fan participation at a regular Thrillbillies game. During the Tighty Bowl, we’ll blow that up even bigger!” Santana agrees.
“We have the best attendance numbers in Prospect League,” Santana said. “But Thrillville fans don’t just sit there. They’re Thrillbillies too, and we’ll have lots of chances for them to be a part of the action.”
Some of the special in-game happenings fans can expect include:
