BENTON – A Benton man has been arrested for arson.

According to Benton Police, just before 8 Tuesday morning, officers were sent to the 1000 block of East Center Street in reference to a house fire. 

Through investigation, police arrested 36-year-old Shaun W. Beasley of Benton for arson. Beasley was charged and transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing. 

Benton Police continue to investigate.
