CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police say a fugitive wanted on a federal arrest warrant related to firearms violations has been arrested.

Thirty-six-year-old Travis L. Wooley of Carbondale was arrested Wednesday by officers and detectives from the Carbondale Police Department assisted by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in the 200 block of Almond St. in Carbondale.

Wooley was found to be in possession of a firearm during the arrest. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.

Around 2:20 a.m. on Dec. 11, 2022, Carbondale Police were in the 200 block of West Main Street monitoring a large crowd at bar closing when they saw a fight break out. Officers arrested Wooley for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon by Felon, which is still pending in Jackson County Court through the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office.
