I was on private hunting land and ready to go home! My husband and I had seen doe all night across the pond and he kept telling me to “keep waiting a big one will walk out” and I happened to look up and see him right in front of me! My second time getting a buck!

I had been watching this deer for awhile, and noticed that his main beams had grown together while still in velvet. After taking my shot, I knew it landed a little far back, so I waited until the next day & called in a buddy, Matt Geralds & his tracker, Stitch! Not only was this my first good buck in 10 years but it was Stitch's 200th recovery! While the meat had expired, Stitch & Matt helped me to recover my trophy!

My oldest girl said dad I want to go hunting with you and we got it done! The smile on her face and the celebration made this feel like the best deer of my life

My biggest buck to date killed in Mulkeytown, IL. Killed with a bow on 11/19/2025. The photo is with my dad, who passionately chasing whitetail bucks with me!

Its was my first sit of the year, and wouldn't know it. I harvested my biggest buck to date. November 1st will be a day i remember forever, and I'm so thankful to have experienced this moment with my father. If it weren’t for him, none of this would of been possible.
