CARMI – Carmi Police Tuesday arrested a Fairfield man on drug charges and on a warrant after being stopped at Stewart Street and Hillsdale Drive in Carmi.

Thirty-one-year-old Norman Preston Mier was booked into the White County Jail for a Wayne County warrant for Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Driving While License Suspended, Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by Driver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of Property, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Mier was also cited for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance.

Mier is lodged in the White County Jail with no bond set.
