METROPOLIS – The Metropolis Police Department released the following information on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

On May 20, 2024, 31-year-old Emily N. Holland of Metropolis was arrested in the 600 block of Market Street. Holland was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for FTA-Residential Burglary. She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

On May 22, 2024, 20-year-old Peyton R. Norwood of Metropolis was arrested in the 1500 block of Filmore. Norwood was wanted on a warrant. The warrant was issued by Massac County for FTA-Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

On May 26, 2024, Metropolis officers were advised that somebody threw a brick at a vehicle on 9th Street near the Southgate Nursing Home. A Metropolis sergeant responded to the area. The victim gave a description as well as suspect information. During the follow-up investigation, 19-year-old Evan L. Junkins of Metropolis became the main suspect. He was located in the 700 block of East 8th. Officers also determined that 19-year-old Daniel T. Ramirez of Metropolis had also thrown rocks at the vehicle. When Junkins was advised he was under arrest, he resisted which ended in a struggle. Junkins was charged with Criminal Damage to Property and Resisting Arrest. Ramirez, who was cooperative, was charged with Criminal Damage to Property. Both were processed and released on a notice to appear.

On May 27, 2024, a Metropolis officer observed Jackson J. Snow walking in the 500 block of West 10th. The officer was aware that Snow was wanted in a warrant. He had two warrants from Massac County, first was for FTA-Driving while License Suspended and the second for FTA-Criminal Damage to Property. He was arrested and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
