CAVE-IN-ROCK – The Cave-in-Rock Ferry reopened Sunday evening after being closed earlier in the day due to high winds. It is now back in service.

Winds dropped sufficiently Sunday to allow the ferry to resume service on its normal schedule.

The Cave-In-Rock Ferry connects Kentucky 91 with Illinois 1 across the Ohio River between Crittenden County, KY, and Hardin County, IL.

The ferry normally starts service at 6:00 a.m. 7 days a week. The last run from the Illinois landing is at 9:40 p.m. The last run from the Kentucky landing is at 9:50 p.m.
