DYKERSBURG – A man was recently cited for several offenses including possessing methamphetamine and possessing a stolen vehicle following a single-vehicle crash on Dykersburg Road in Williamson County.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says Richard D. Colbroth was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

Around 6:40 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, deputies responded to the crash, saw an inverted Ford F250 and identified the driver as Colbroth.

Colbroth stated that he lost control of the truck, failing to navigate the curve and subsequently left the roadway, rolled, and came to rest on the roof of the vehicle. The truck was stolen and Colbroth’s driver’s license had been revoked.

Colbroth was taken into custody. A search of his person incident to arrest located a clear plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance which later field tested positive for meth.

Colbroth was taken to an area hospital, treated for a minor injury sustained in the traffic accident and medically released. He was then taken to jail.
