PADUCAH/METROPOLIS – Lane restrictions on the I-24 Ohio River Bridge between Paducah and Metropolis will remain in place until around mid-December according to IDOT.
Additional repairs were necessary to complete Phase 1 of the bridge rehab project, including the fabrication and construction of multiple beams for the bridge’s substructure.
Crews will be working weekends, including this upcoming weekend, to complete the current work. Once finished, all four lanes will be reopened to traffic until Phase 2 begins in early March.
Please slow down and use caution in the work zone. Expect heavier traffic volumes along I-24 starting Wednesday and continuing throughout the week due to holiday travel.
