Jackson County Elects Cascio-Hale State's Attorney

MURPHYSBORO – Democrat Marsha Cascio-Hale has won the race for Jackson County State’s Attorney.

According to the Jackson County Clerk’s Office, provisional ballots were counted Tuesday. Cascio-Hale had 106 votes while Republican incumbent Joe Cervantez received 87 votes.

The race ended in a tie on Election Day with both candidates receiving 10,805 votes.

Cascio-Hale posted on her campaign Facebook page that the wait was worth it and thanked all who supported her in her campaign.

We have reached out to Cervantez about the outcome of the race and have not received any comment from him at this time.
