BENTON – The following information was released by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

6-12-23 Caden A. Lampley, age 18, of Benton was arrested for Criminal Damage to Property.

6-14-23 Zackary M. Avery, age 22, of Johnston City was arrested for Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage to Property.

6-14-23 James T. Hudgens, age 32, of Marion was ticketed for Speeding.

6-15-23 Benjamin J. Clements, age 25, of Benton was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery.

6-16-23 Terry L. Sneed, age 30, of Benton was ticketed for Failure to Obey a Signal indicating approach of a train/railroad equipment. 

6-16-23 Jared A. Scroggins, age 39, of Cristopher was ticketed for Operating a Vehicle with an Expired Registration. 

6-16-23 Tracey E. Wallace, age 29, of Harrisburg was ticketed for Operating a Vehicle with an Expired Registration. 

6-17-23 Marcella L. Akin, age 45, of Benton was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Adult Use Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. 

6-18-23 Christopher L. Flood, age 36, of Valier was arrested for Criminal Damage to Property.

6-18-23 Kenneth Z. Johnson, age 32, of Benton was ticketed for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. 

6-19-23 Thomas J. Shields, age 41, of Christopher was arrested for Driving while License Revoked. Shields also had a Hamilton County Failure to Appear warrant for Squealing/Screeching of tires. 

WARRANT ARRESTS

6-12-23 Bernard P. Barth, age 49, of Carbondale. Failure to appear for violation of an order of protection. 

6-18-23 Tyler J. Wilson, age 47, of Sesser. Aggravated Battery, Home Invasion, Theft and Unlawful Restraint.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
