MARION – The Williamson County Highway Department says Thompsonville Road will be closed to all traffic just north of Locust Grove Road beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday for construction of a new railroad crossing. The closure is anticipated to last two weeks.

A signed detour will be provided along Locust Grove Road, Crawford Road in Williamson County and Kimmel Road in Franklin County.

Officials ask for your patience as this is part of a larger project that will include roadway improvements to the curves north of the new railroad crossing later this year.
