MARION – The Illinois Master Naturalist volunteer training program is looking for individuals to become engaged environmental stewards in southern Illinois. Applications are being accepted for the hybrid training, which begins in April.

Regional experts will teach classes on ecology, invasive species, aquatic life, forestry, geology, herpetology, entomology, and much more.

Training will be held on Thursdays starting April 13 and running through June 8. The group will meet at the Williamson County Extension office, located at 1301 Enterprise Way, Suite 60, in Marion with field trips to Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge.
