SPRINGFIELD – Illinois House Republicans held a Tuesday afternoon press conference to announce the formation of five Republican working groups to develop solutions on a broad range of legislative priorities for the 2023 spring session.

House Republican Leader Tony McCombie (R-Savanna) announced several caucus working groups to develop legislative initiatives for the caucus on emerging issues, including women and families; economic growth; student literacy; Safe-T Act; and DCFS reforms.

State Representative Dave Severin (R-Benton) is leading the working group on student literacy.  

State Representative Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) is leading the working group on public safety.
