MCLEANSBORO – Authorities in Hamilton County were busy early this morning rescuing a driver from their vehicle stranded in flood waters.

The incident happened on Norris City Road.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, the McLeansboro Fire Department, Hamilton County EMS, Hamilton County EMA, McLeansboro Police and the sheriff’s office 911 Dispatch Center all worked together to make sure the driver got out safely.

The sheriff’s office reports that Norris City Road at the North Fork Saline River Bridge is impassible due to flood waters and wave action from high winds.
