METROPOLIS – A Tennessee couple was arrested and charged Saturday by Metropolis Police with endangering the health or life of a child.
According to Metropolis Police Chief Harry Masse, officers were called to Harrah’s Casino and when they arrived, they learned that security had found an 11-year-old child left alone in a vehicle.
Surveillance video found that the child had been left alone for over and hour and half.
Forty-year-old Baridques Anton Reeves and 37-year-old Kimberly Charie Byers of Murfreesboro, Tenn. were located in the casino. They were arrested and charged for the offense and were released on bond.
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services was notified and is conducting further investigation.
