(IOCI RADIO) – A new state law will make it easier for men in Illinois to get prostate cancer screenings.

Staring in January 2024, health insurers will have to cover prostate screenings without charging patients a co-pay or deductible, Gov. J.B. Pritzker said.

About one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. The average age for diagnosis is 66.
