Masks No Longer Required for Illinois Public Transportation

(IOCI RADIO) – Masks are no longer required on public transportation in Illinois.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker amended an executive order Tuesday lifting mask rules for public transit, transit hubs and airports in light of Monday’s federal court ruling.

Earlier in the day, he said people should still “do what they feel most comfortable with,” given current COVID-19 conditions.

The governor said local governments may still enact their own rules, so check with a local transit authority for masking rules that remain in place.
