MARION – The Marion Unit 2 School District says it will resume a regular schedule and full-in person learning on Aug. 11, the first day of the new school year. The announcement was made at this week’s school board meeting and posted on the school district’s Facebook page.
As for masks, the district has adopted an optional mask policy. The mask policy may change at any given time based on building, local and regional circumstances, according to officials. Masks must be worn by all students who ride a bus to school, a CDC mandate/special rule.
Social distancing will be implemented as much as possible in classroom and where students are gathered, which the district said may not always be possible.
