Murphysboro Man Sentenced After Pleading Guilty to Aggravated DUI

MARION – A Murphysboro man was sentenced in Williamson County to four years in state prison after pleading guilty Monday to aggravated DUI.

Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti said on Nov. 11, 2017, 37-year-old Jeremy D. Boens was arrested after being pulled over by a Carterville police officerfor erratic driving. He was issued his third DUI violation, making it a felony.

Boens was ordered to obtain an alcohol evaluation and undergo any recommended treatment from it, and must serve two years of mandatory supervised release following his release from prison.
