HARDIN CO. – A road closure will begin Friday on Illinois 34 in Hardin County, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
A box culvert is in need of replacement four miles from the Illinois 34/146 intersection.
Illinois 34 to one lane by a contractor to begin removal of the current box culvert at 7 a.m. Then the road will close from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4.
The project consists of culvert box replacement, pavement replacement and pavement markings.
Motorists should reduce speed, be alert to equipment and workers, exercise extreme caution while traveling through all work zones and seek alternate routes during the temporary road closure.
