New Law May Delay Tax Returns

A new law may delay you getting your tax return in the new year. Almost everyone who files a tax return in January and February will be affected by the PATH Act. Under this new law the IRS will have to hold funds for millions of taxpayers until February 15th. The IRS is cracking down on tax fraud identity theft so they’ll be checking everyone’s W2 to make sure it matches their tax return. Refunds may be delayed as much as two-to-four weeks into the end of February.
