Two Men Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 13

Two men were injured in a two-vehicle crash last night on Route 13 in Williamson County. William Dozier of Carterville was driving a truck north on Samuel Road and attempting to cross Route 13. Dozier made it across the eastbound lanes and was stopped in the crossover when he was hit from behind by a car driven by Keith Pike of Herrin. Pike’s car traveled through the grass median and ended up in the westbound lane of traffic. Dozier and Pike were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. The left lane of Route 13 westbound at Samuel Road was closed for one hour during the investigation.
