Senator Dick Durbin has announced that the city of West Frankfort is receiving $61,000 in funding to support and encourage local business growth. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Business Development grant program. $31,045 is going to the Illinois Solar Energy Association to support solar installation certification training for local electricians. Funding will also be used for the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning for the city’s business incubator.
