Chris Young‘s brand new single “Sober Saturday Night” features a very special guest on guitar and background vocals — Vince Gill. Chris sent the song to Vince hoping he’d like it and be willing to come into the studio and record his part. Well, Vince had another idea, much to the delight of Chris and his producer, Corey Crowder.
Chris explained, “When we went to record this with Vince, we already cut the track. I told him, ‘Hey, I’ll send it to you, if you want to be a part of it . . . that would be amazing but no pressure, I know you’ve got a lot of stuff going on.’ He’s like ‘Yeah man, honestly I love this.’ He goes, ‘I’ll do it. Come over to my house.’ So, we went over to Vince Gill’s house. That was the one thing that I did, when I texted Corey, my co-producer, I was like ‘Hey man, I’m going over to Vince’s, do you want to go?’ And he was like, ‘Uh, yes! What time do I need to block off?’, and I was like, ‘I think it should just take a couple hours.’ He goes, ‘What day? I’m knocking everything on my schedule. I don’t want anything in the way of this.’ ”
“Sober Saturday Night” is the third single from Chris’ I’m Comin’ Over album, which to date has produced two Number One singles.
