Manhunt for Pendleton Continues in Pope Co.

Pope Co. — The manhunt for Dracy “Clint” Pendleton, the man accused of shooting an officer in Champaign County over the weekend continues in Pope County. A State Police Press Conference held last night revealed more information regarding Pendleton, saying that he was last seen on Monday morning in Pope County wearing a black t-shirt with camouflage pants. Police also say that Pendleton may have been shot in the neck during his firefight with police and that he also may walk with a limp from an unrelated knee injury. Authorities believe that he has found refuge in the Shawnee National Forest at this time and have shut down the Lusk Creek Wilderness Area in Pope County at this time. Officials are hopeful that he turns himself in without incident. Anyone with information on Pendleton is asked to contact their local authorities.
