Hardin Co. Sinkhole Closed; Traffic Resuming as Normal

Hardin Co. – A sinkhole that caused traffic issues in Hardin County is no longer a problem. A release from the Illinois Department of Transportation has announced the reopening. The hole had formed near the intersection of Routes 146 and Route 34 near Rosiclare. IDOT says they are not sure exactly what caused the hole but the Department of Natural Resources could be called to determine whether an old mine shaft could have caused it.
