Carbondale Holds “Community Forum” in Wake of Recent Violence

Carbondale – Carbondale city officials are going over ideas and suggestions given to them at last night’s “Community Forum” held in large part due to a recent uptick in violent crimes in the community. The event was held at the Carbondale Civic Center with more than 200 citizens on hand who were able to speak for three minutes to give their thoughts on how officials could make the city safer. Event organizers say they had a list of 38 items at the close of the forum that would be looked into and possibly be heard by the City Council in the future.
