Early Morning Fire in Christopher Under Investigation

An investigation into what started an early morning fire in Christopher is underway. According to Franklin County dispatchers, fire crews were called out to a home on Sylvester Avenue at around 1:45 this morning to a report of a fire in progress. Fire crews were unable to put out the fire before it did irreparable damage to the home. The family that lived in the home was able to safely make it out but a report from KFVS TV states that a dog and a cat were killed in the fire. There is no word on what started the fire although it is believed to have started in a neighbor’s shed before spreading to the home.
