Hurst – Four are recovering after a wreck on Cambria Road near Hurst yesterday morning. According to State Police Accident Reports, the accident happened when a vehicle being driven by Jamie Mueller of Herrin rear ended a vehicle being driven by Gregory Parker of Hurst who had slowed down for other traffic. Mueller’s vehicle was then hit head on by a vehicle being driven by Devoney Alvis of DuQuoin while trying to avoid the crash. Mueller and a three-year old passenger were both flown to a regional hospital with serious injuries. Parker and Alvis were both taken to local hospitals. Mueller is being cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
