Jackson Co. – A third suspect is behind bars in connection to the Easter shooting in Carbondale that left one injured and killed a bystander. According to a release from the Carbondale Police Department, Travis Tyler of Cape Girardeau turned himself in at the Jackson County Courthouse yesterday morning. Tyler is being held on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Another suspect, Daniel Hughes is wanted in connection to the Easter shooting as well as a later shooting in Carbondale that injured one. He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Carbondale Police at 457-3200.
