Pair Wanted in Connection to Kentucky Homicide Arrested After Allegedly Shoplifting at Ina Truckstop

Jefferson Co. – Two individuals connected to a murder investigation in Kentucky are behind bars in Mt. Vernon after a reported theft at an Ina truck stop. According to reports from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Joseph Cunningham and Kristy Keener were pulled over on I-57 early yesterday morning after allegedly shoplifting at the Love’s Truck Stop in Ina. Upon investigating the vehicle, police found multiple guns and evidence linking the pair to other crimes. Further investigation linked them to a homicide in Marshall County, Kentucky as well as an arson case in McCracken County, Kentucky. The two are being held in Jefferson County without bond.
