Voters Agree to Fund Government Building Repairs in Two Counties

Voters in two local counties approved spending to fix aging governmental buildings. In Randolph County voters approved bonds totaling $2,950,000 to make repairs to the County Courthouse in Chester. In Johnson County voters chose to accept a 1% sales tax hike in order to replace government buildings in Vienna that are more than 100-years old. Voters in Jefferson County declined a sales tax hike that would have funded school repairs around the county.
