Two Mt. Vernon Men Arrested on Drug Charges in Energy Traffic Stop

Energy — Two Mt. Vernon men are behind bars after a traffic stop in Energy this weekend. According to a release from Energy Chief of Police Shawn Ladd, officers stopped a vehicle in town after citing multiple violations. After an initial investigation it was found that the two men inside the vehicle, Theodore Jefferson and Marty McCluskey were in possession of a substance thought to be crack cocaine, more than half a pound of cannabis and large amounts of cash. The two were arrested and taken to the Williamson County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance and manufacture or delivery of cannabis. A court date has not been set.
