Granger Smith‘s brand new album, Remington, hit Number One on the iTunes country chart on Friday (March 4th), the day it was released. It also claimed the Number Three spot on the all-genre albums chart. The success comes on the heels of Granger’s first Number One hit, “Backroad Song,” which claimed the top of the country singles charts just weeks ago.
On Friday Granger said, “Today is incredibly special and is one I will never forget. I feel like this album is a true reflection of who I am and I am excited for the world to finally hear it. I can’t thank my fans, colleagues, friends and family enough for all their support throughout this journey.”
Granger says Remington describes him nicely. “It started with just the idea of Remington based on my very first shotgun. It’s a Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 gauge. It’s older than I am. It’s a very nice shotgun but it’s definitely not the newest, trendiest, latest gadget, and I was starting to wonder if there was a song idea in there relating myself to this as far as being maybe not the coolest or latest trendiest model but a lot of integrity, someone you can trust coming from a good background.”
Granger’s current single “Backroad Song” is featured on the album.
