Gov. Rauner Requesting Federal Aid For Counties Hurt By Flooding

Springfield – Governor Bruce Rauner is asking for federal help as several Illinois counties continue to feel the effects of the late December and early January flooding that struck many parts of the state. Rauner officially requested both individual assistance for business owners and people in 10 counties including Alexander and Randolph and federal assistance for local governments in 19 counties, including Alexander, Jackson and Randolph Counties. The requests come after a review of recent damage assessments done by both the state and Federal Emergency Management Agencies.
