Carbondale City Council Votes to Allow Food Trucks on Public Property

Carbondale — The Carbondale City Council this week approved an ordinance that will allow food trucks to serve on public property in certain instances. City Council voted 6-1 to approve the measure. According to a report from the Southern Illinoisan, food trucks will be able to operate near the town square, at the SuperBlock Sports Complex and at both Attucks and Turley Parks. The only “No” vote came from Commissioner Lee Fronabarger because it included the town square where there are already several restaurants.
