Jackson Co. — A pair of possibly related shootings are under investigation in Jackson County. According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a report of shots fired Wednesday night near the intersection of Reed Station Road and Dillinger Road in Carbondale. Deputies went to that area and found evidence of several gunshots being fired into and from within a home. A short time later, the sheriff’s office got a 911 call from a home in rural Murphysboro reporting that someone was suffering from a minor gunshot wound. Officials say the preliminary investigation into these incidents suggests they may be related. Anyone with information should call the sheriff’s office at 684-2177.
