Marion – With a big blast of winter weather expected throughout the area tonight, area road crews are preparing to work around the clock. According to a release from the National Weather Service in Paducah, the system rolling in tonight has the potential to drop 3 to 5 inches of snow in most of the listening area. Freezing rain is also expected meaning roads will be slick. Road crews have been out pre-treating major thoroughfares throughout the day but rural roads that are hard to access will likely cause closings throughout the area tomorrow. We will keep you updated on all closings over the air, as well as online and through social media.
