Identity of Man Shot and Killed After Pulling Gun on Officers in Hurst Released

Hurst – The name of the Hurst man who was shot and killed after pulling a gun on officers executing a warrant last week has been released. According to Williamson County State’s Attorneys Office, the man has been identified as Willie Holderfield. Reports show that Holderfield was the main suspect in the armed robbery of a Carterville Pharmacy that happened in December. State Police agents arrived at a home in Hurst that Holderfield was said to be in and entered with a search warrant when Holderfield pulled out a gun. He was shot and later died at a local hospital. The case remains under investigation.
