Jackson Co. Couple Trapped Inside Home by Flood Waters

Jackson Co. — A rural Jackson County couple is safe and dry after being trapped inside of their home by high flood waters. According to reports from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to a home in rural Murphysboro at the 200 block of Keebler Lane at around 10:00 PM to help Tim and Berniece Antrim, who had become trapped in their home. The flood waters proved too deep for vehicle rescue and members of the Murphysboro and Pomona Fire Departments had to use a jon boat to rescue the couple. No injuries are being reported.
