Jackson County Officials To Discuss Possible Evacuations Due To Flooding

Jackson Co. – Jackson County Officials are set to meet today to discuss possible evacuations in communities along the Mississippi River due to estimated record-high flood waters. County Leaders are meeting with members of the US Army Corps of Engineers and Local Levee Commissioners to hash out possible responses after the National Weather Service predicted a water crest of 49.9 feet by New Year’s Day, just higher than the record 49.7 feet reached in the devastating Flood of 1993.
