Jackson County Brothers Behind Bars on Mob Activity Charges

Jackson Co. — Two Jackson County brothers are behind bars on mob activity charges after a fight in Ava Friday night. According to reports from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies spotlighted a vehicle on Route 4 causing a passenger to run into a nearby yard where a fight between four men was underway. Deputies attempted to break up the fight but were unable to do so without deploying pepper spray. Further investigation revealed that Greg and Eric Crews, brothers from the Oraville area, had come into town to confront the other two men about a trespassing complaint. The brothers were charged with battery and mob action and are being held in the Jackson County Jail.
