Williamson Co. Officials Look to File Suit Against the State

Marion – The Williamson County Board and State’s Attorney are set to file suit against the state for funds not received due to the long-running budget impasse. According to a release from Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti’s Office, the suit will ask for the issue of $139,000 dollars that would cover salary reimbursement for the State’s Attorney, the lead Public Defender and the Supervisor of Assessments. The lawsuit will be similar in language to a successful suit in which St. Clair County levied against the state earlier this year and received their funds.
