Partial Spending Plan Headed to Senate After Being Passed by the House

Springfield — Illinois lawmakers are pushing a new measure that would provide at least some funding to state programs during the budget crisis. The Illinois House has approved a measure that would release more than three-billion-dollars to pay state lottery winners, operate 9-1-1 centers, train firefighters and plow roads. A Senate vote on the bill is expected on Monday.
