Former Carterville Pharmacist Facing Prison Time For Running Unlicensed Business

Marion – A former Carterville pharmacist is facing up to 10-years behind bars after being arrested for operating her pharmacy without a license for more than 5-years. During a press conference Friday afternoon, Williamson County State’s Attorney Brandon Zanotti announced that Kristi Schulmeister, former owner and operator of Tri-C Pharmacy in Carterville had been arrested and is facing 12 counts, including 9 felonies, in relation to operating the pharmacy after her license had been suspended. Schulmeister made her initial court appearance on Friday and was released on bond. She is scheduled back in court on December 21st.
