Gov. Rauner Requests Flags Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of French Terror Attacks

Springfield — Flags are being flown at half-staff throughout the state in honor of the victims of last week’s terrorist attacks in Paris. Governor Bruce Rauner’s office is asking that all U.S. and state flags remain lowered until sunset Thursday.  Friday’s terrorist attacks left 129 people dead including American exchange student Nohemi Gonzalez, and also left hundreds wounded.
