Marion High School Placed on “Soft Lock-Down” in Precautionary Move

Marion — Marion Police are investigating an incident that led the Marion High School to go on a “soft lock-down” yesterday morning. According to reports from the Marion Police Department, officers were told that a recently suspended student was in possession of a hand-gun. No threats toward any student or faculty members had been made, but police requested that the school be placed on lock-down as a safety precaution. Officers later found the teen as well as the hand-gun, and say that they have no safety concerns at this time.
